I help teams see what they're missing. Through user research, systems thinking, and close collaboration with product and engineering, I turn complex, ambiguous problems into design solutions that work for users and the business.
As a design manager at Ailo, I’ve worked on team expansion, defining roles, hiring, and growing the team to 12 designers. I developed design managers and leaders, created career growth opportunities, supported domain transitions, and coached individuals throughout. My responsibilities also included performance management and guiding the team through organisational change, including headcount reductions.
My experience spans print, digital, and product — across magazines and book publishing, design studios, agencies, government, start-up incubators, and scale-ups. This breadth has given me deep industry knowledge, experience managing diverse stakeholders, and an ability to surface user insights that inform seamless, elegant design solutions.
I thrive on complex problems, absorbing knowledge from users, specialists, and support teams to deliver great experiences within scope and on time.
Outside of work, you'll find me learning electric guitar, walking my two greyhounds, surfing locally, or chasing waves. I also have a keen interest in physical and mental wellbeing, music, and literature.
